Chinese State policies threaten the survival of Tibetan culture within the country, but the Tibetan people continue to follow their customs both inside Tibet and in exile. Though restrictions on religion are numerous, and both the traditional nomadic lifestyle and Tibetan language are under threat, the Tibetan people are determined to preserve their culture. As these images demonstrate, despite strict controls, it is these traditions are still very much alive inside Tibet.
